Elderly Scam…
For to days article I read about a scam caller who has been phoning the elderly's,claiming to be a “council worker”.
The Auckland council has warned him or her not to scam the elderly.The caller then said it was an requirement for homes to have insulation and heat pumps and also asked people if they had these installed in their homes.The scammer would then try to make a home visit with the customer.So the real Auckland council said (If a person rings you up and asks if you want a requirment and heat pumps installed in your homes) say no because that is not a council.
