Reading

WALT- Finish the task we have been given for reading.

In this task we put the main ideas about the text we have read this week and also show evidence on what we have written.

Author Research

A couple months back I was in room ten and we had to research about an author so I choose Rick Riordan.

In these few slides it will show the reasons I have chosen to search about him and what type of writer Rick is. It also shows which books he wrote in each year. What I truly liked about this activity was that I had a lot of fun while researching about him like how he started writing for the grown up's and then starting writing books for his own kids and also others. The thing I did not like about this activity was how hard  it was to find when all his books were published but I still enjoyed this activity.

Math Evidence

TOday this morning in room 9 at math time we had to solve an equation about gum.

In this screen it'll show how I solved the problem and what strategy I have used.

What I liked about this mornings session was that I got to learn from my other friends on how they solved so they gave and idea on how to solve the porblem.

Bloom's Taxonomy Activity

WALT- use Bloom’s Taxonomy to critically analyse the text.

Life Education

WALT-Write a reflection on what we did at our Life education session

When we came back from our session we had to write a reflection on what we did and also what we have learn't. my reflection includes things I did not understand during the session and facts about our body parts.

The book I read was called Sina & The Eel.
The book was about a beautiful princess who was so lonely, but one day she befriended a talking eel that she'll always visit everyday undermoon.Sine and the eel would always talk and swim in the waters and the eel aso told her how he was once a prince, but each night they would spend time with each other the eels love would grow and get more demanding.The eel had scared Sina so she ran of to her relatives to escape but it wasn't over.One day Sina went to get some water but which ever river she'd go to the eel would always be there so Sina ran and told her uncle and couzin to abominate him.When her couzin abominated the eel with his last breath he aksed her to berrie his head as a rememberence of him,then the eel grew into a coconut tree and every time Sina would drink the coconut it would feel like she is kissing the eel.

Who's gonna win? Ancient vs Modern sport

 

WALT- Write a report on whether ancient sport or modern sport is better.

In this writing task we have been given a task to write an Ancient vs Modern sport.

What I actually liked about this task was finding facts about the ancient olympics and how they use to play sports and also what types of sports they played.

Technology Reflection

WALT- Write a reflection on what we did at technology for cooking class.
This week in cooking class we baked chocolate muffins. In the slide show it shows the steps on how to bake chocolate muffins and the equipments you will need to bake the dish. What I like about this weeks cooking class was that me and by cooking partner got to cook in silence because it was nice and quiet and every one was focused but what I wish to do better next time is to probably not be sloppy and lazy next time I go cooking class I will try and improve on what I need to.

Mmmm Pineapple Turnover

WALT-Write a reflection on what we did at technology.

In week 3 of technology we baked Pineapple Turnover for cooking class.In the google drawing it shows how to cook it and what to use while cooking the Pineapple turnover.What I like about the cooking class is that I got to learn how to cook pineapple turnover which I have never baked before.What I wish I could have done was to probably bake neatly and not make a mess.

Ushuaia

WALT-Discover specific cities and countries around the world.

In room 9 my teacher Miss Komor has given us a task to look up facts about Ushuaia and make a google drawing about it.In the google drawing I have written down some facts.What I liked about doing this task is that I got to learn about a different country that maybe I would want to go to in the future.

Kiwi Sport- Badminton

WALT-Write a reflection on what we did in kiwi sports.

In this task I have written what we have done in Kiwi Sports and what I have learned.

In this reflection I written what my strengths are in badminton and what my weaknesses are.It also shows how I can achieve my goals next time we go to do badminton sports.

Art

WALT-Draw our personalities on a piece of paper.

In room 9 we did art and so far I have drawn an eye with a person and a wolf inside it.The wolf represents on how serious I am on things like work at school and learning new things and also getting things done quickly and fast as possible like a wolf.The human face on the side represents me as in me being myself and always having faith that things will work.It also represents sometimes I can't do things because I can be shy and feel uncomfortable around others.I have not finished drawing but this is what I've done so far.

Fire Safety

WALT-Plan our floor plan for our house in case a fire starts in the house.
In room 9 we had a task to do, which was draw and plan an escape plan for our families in case a fire just started in our homes.I have taken a photo of my planning and my drawing on my netbook to show how many ways my family can escape. I have put about 2 EXITS in each room.

The Manta Resort!!

WALT-Discover facts about different types of weird hotels around the world

In This task I had to choose a a hotel or place that I had to find information on like how much would it cost to stay in the hotel a night and the other facts that we all usually need to know.So what this task is about is mainly reviewing on the hotel we have chosen. I have chosen to the the Manta Resort because it looks like a beautiful place to go to but also might have some downsides.In this presentation I have written some facts about the Manta resort and also some downside facts too.

Blog Commenting Tips!!

WALT-Write blog commenting tips that could help yourself and others.

In room 9 my cyber safety teacher Ms Manuyag shared the whole class 2 videos for blog commenting tips.While I was watching the videos I would keep going back to my poster and add tips to it incase I would need the tips.

Today in room 9 Ms Komor gave us a task to search up facts about Peru.I have searched facts about Peru but only the interesting facts.
