Solving With Smiley Faces

WALT-Solve (how many sets of...)and sharing division problems using multiplication (reversibility)

Todays task for maths the whole class got a sheet with one hundred smiley faces to use to solve the math problems. Our first equation to solve was- (A)Kurt had 28 doggy treats to share equally between 4 dogs. How many did each dog get?
What I did was use my times table first like 4 x7=28 then I use division,28 divided by 4=7.So I have to put 4 groups of smiley faces with 7 is 28 and that is an example of how I solve the problem with the smiley faces.

Week 9 Of Technology

WALT-Put our screen shots of our design into a collage.
Today at technology we had to make a collage picture for our designs.
I learnt how to put a text on top of a picture in the collage and hopefully next week I will focus on the skill for making decisions because I had to choose 1 between 2 of my designs  to make a collage so I picked my second design. Here is my sketch and my tinkercad design made into a collage.

Maths

WALT-Use rounding and compensating to solve the problems to your equation.

This task is about rounding and compensating.Rounding means taking a number to the nearest 10,for example-6x36=,so the nearest ten to this equation is 40.
Compensating means taking something back, for example-6x40=240
                                                                                       6x4=24
                                                                                       240-24=216

My Whanau Conference Slide Show.

WALT-Create a slide for the whanau conference.
These slides show my goals for the year and how I can achieve them by the help of myself and family.

WALT-Write 3 complex sentences related to the picture.
This task is a challenge for us to write 3 complex sentences related to the picture. It must have 1 dependent sentence and 1 independent sentence.A dependent sentence is a sentence that cannot stand alone but an independent sentence can stand by itself.

3D Printing

WALT-Create our design on TinkerCad and put it through the 3D printer.

Today for Technology I designed a Cap Weirdo,it was one of my designs I made up in TinkerCad it’s a superhero for animals but still looks weird.I learnt how to use simple shapes and make it look like a complicated shape.Next week I will focus on developing the skills of speed because I finished last minute and Miss Ferguson said that I had to collect next thursday.

My 3D Desings

Today for Technology my class went on tinkercad. It was for desingning some thing 3d for the person we choose to give a pressent for what they have done for us.

I learnt how to draw 3d shapes and letters by drawing a box.

Next week I will focus on developing the skills of speed because when we all had to draw 5 different 3d drawings I ended up with 3 drawings. This is an example of what we do on tinkercad. We create 3 dimensional drawings.
